Hola. My name is Elizabeth Madrid. I was born in Jaliso, Mexico. My parents immigrated to the U.S. when I was an infant and raised me here in Porterville. I am married and have 3 beautiful daughters. My oldest daughter Isabel 15, Katelyn 13, and my 5 year old Emma. Isabel and Katelyn attended SCA since kindergarten, but are now 10th and 8th graders at SCCA. My Emma is now a Kindergarten here at SCA.
I attended Monache High School and enjoyed 4 awesome years in the Monache Maurader Band. I also attended Porterville College and graduated from Univeristy of La Verne with a BA in Liberal Studies and a teaching credential. My goal in the near future is to obtain my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
My journey as a teacher began when I was 18. I was given the opportunity to fulfill that dream 11 years ago when I began my teaching career here at Summit Charter Academy. I spent 6 wonderful years in Kindergarten and this will be my 5th year in 1st grade. I truly love and enjoy every minute I spend with your little ones. My goal as your child's teacher is to create an environment where students know they can succeed and also make some mistakes along the way.
The dual immersion program is very dear to my heart. I have been so blessed to be a part of the SCA family for 11 years now. I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year. I know it will be a year full of wonderful and lasting memories.
