My name is Zenaida Lugo and I grew up in Pixley and continue to live there with my family. I have three boys and three girls. Their names are Sandra, Jesus, Rigo, Makayla, Xavier and Reyna.
I have been working with Burton School District for almost 11 years. On December 2003, I began working at Burton School district as a special education aide. While working, I continued my education at the University Of La Verne and was hired as a teacher on August 2007. I have taught summer school preschool and first, second and third grade students at Burton Elementary. I am currently teaching fourth grade at Summit Charter Academy. I earned an AS degree from Porterville College and a clear and multiple subjects credential and Master’s degree for the University of La Verne.
My goal as an educator is to encourage critical thinking and problem solving that can be applied to my student’s daily life. I have high expectations of my student’s. Therefore, as a teacher it is my responsibility to provide my students with a positive and fair atmosphere. As well as to understands and respect my students backgrounds, abilities and academic needs.
