Hello Parents and Students,
Welcome Back to School!
I am excited to be at the Mathew Campus teaching 5th grade.
I have been teaching for 25 years and 16 of those years with Burton School District and in Dual Immersion.
I love teaching and helping students discover their true talents in life. I believe every student has the right to be nurtured and given the opportunities to succeed in our world. It is my hope that my students will enjoy learning and have a thirst for knowledge. It is my hope that my students will want to explore and expand their knowledge base and discover our global society using technology and reading.
Now a little bit about me. I enjoying reading. This is one of my favorite ways to spend my free time. I love to garden and landscape my 5 acres in the country. I have 5 dogs and 1 cat. I recently rescued a puppy this past year at school. His name is Buddy, and he is a small terrier. My pets keep me busy and are lots of fun. I try to travel as much as possible during my vacations. This summer I spent time training my dogs and also visiting friends in Seattle, Washington. My travel goal is to visit Africa and take a hot air balloon ride over the Serengiti. Also, I collect sand from around the world. I have sand from as far away as Australia and other parts of the world.
So grab your backpack and get ready for a great learning adventure in 5th grade.
