Hola! My name is Pilar Orosco. I am the second child in a family of six children. I was born in Mexico, but have been in the United States (Porterville, Ca) since the age of three. My parents are hard working people who always stressed the importance of an education. I am married and have three children. Aracely is 8, Viviana is 7, and both girls attend Summit Charter Academy. Michael is 4 and will be attending SCA next year.
This is my first year as a kindergarten teacher, but I had been a kindergarten aide for 7 years prior to this position. In May of this year I received my BA in English from University of Phoenix. (It felt amazing!) I am very excited about getting to know my students and finding the best way to facilitate their learning experience. I am dedicated to igniting a passion for learning and life in general. I am a positive person who loves to laugh! My passion is making happiness contagious! In my spare time (because mommies have a lot of that) I love to spend time with my family, write, read, laugh, and dance.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year and seeing my students grow and venture to the next grade prepared and proud!
