Hello! My name is Rommy Solis. This is my 12th year in education and second year with the Burton School District. I started my education at Long Beach State University where I received my Bacherlor's Degree in Spanish. After graduating from there, I decided to continue my education at National University where obtained my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master's Degree with an emphasis in Cross Cultural Teaching.
I began my teaching career with the Los Angeles Unified School District where I had the oportunity to work with grades 1st through 5th and special education. I decided to become a teacher during my first year in college when I was working as a teacher assistant. I knew I wanted to stay in education and be a positive influence in children's lives.
I am married and I have 3 boys. I moved to the Central Valley from Southern California 3 years ago. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, going to the movies, cooking, going to the beach, and visiting family and friends in Southern California.
I am very grateful to be surrounded by such great staff here at Burton School District. I am excited for this school year and I look forward to all the challenges, exciting moments, relationships, and everything this year might bring- and most important, working with your littles ones. They are the reason why I am here.
